Kristen Lynn Mason and Jessie James Mechling were united in marriage on Aug. 30, 2008, at Cooks Forest State Park at a Medieval-themed wedding. A flutist provided music.
The bride is the daughter of Ric and Vicki Mason of Youngsville. The groom is the son of James Mechling of Tidioute and Debbie Drake of Pittsfield. The Rev. Raymond Nemeth presided over the wedding.
The bride was escorted over a walking bridge by her father. Maid of honor was Rebecca Olson, bride's sister. Bridesmaids were Christine McLaughlin, Jamie Vanderhoof and Elisha Mechling, groom's sister. Flower girl was Lauren Cressley.

Best man was Michael Cressley. Ushers were Brent Myers, Joel Mason, bride's brother, and Shane Wenzel. Junior groomsman was Jamison Wilkins, bride's nephew. A reception was held at the Shilo Resort in Cooksburg.

The bride works for Sheltering Arms Rehabilitation Hospital in Mechanicsville, Va. The groom is employed by United Grinding, Walter in Fredericksburg, Va.
The couple resides in Ashland, Va.
