Conewango Twp.

Crash. Conewango Township Police responded to a one-vehicle accident at 9:48 p.m. Sunday, July 22. When police arrived on the scene at 1335 Jackson Run Road, they found a vehicle that was registered to a known female and had been crashed with no driver or passengers inside. The female was later contacted about the crash, according to police. It was reported that Kipp Spencer, Warren, was driving the vehicle east on Jackson Run Road at the time of the crash. During a follow-up investigation, police said it was found that Spencer was traveling east on Jackson Run Road. Spencer had been texting while driving and lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve, police said. The vehicle then traveled through the westbound lane before striking the embankment. Due to the vehicle's speed, the vehicle flipped twice before coming to rest on its side. Spencer was injured during the crash and then fled the scene, according to police. He is being charged with seven summary citations. Charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer pending further court action.
