Raymon Billstone

Raymon W. Billstone, 89, of Glade Township passed away on January 15, 2017. Ray was born November 28, 1927 in Warren and was the son of the late J.L. and Edith Billstone. He was a 1945 graduate of Warren High School where he excelled on the gymnastics team. He was a proud submarine sailor who served aboard the USS Brill in the U.S. Navy and was a lifelong member of the United States Submarine Veterans of World War II.
Ray was known as a hard worker with a quiet manner who was a caring and generous friend to all those who knew him. He was a master mechanic and part owner of the former Tune Up Shop in Warren. He worked on heavy equipment during the construction of the Kinzua Dam, was later employed by PittsburghDes Moines Steel Company in Warren and worked as an independent oil producer. He enjoyed water skiing, downhill skiing, roller skating and traveling throughout the American West.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Marjorie (Hover), Suzanne (Swanson) and Phyllis (Dougherty). He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Todd Alan, a brother, Laurie Billstone, and a daughterinlaw, Kelly Billstone (Robert).
Ray is survived by three sons and a daughter, Jay (Billie) Billstone (son of the late Marjorie HoverDanielson) of Lander; Greg (Pablo) Billstone of Staten Island, NY; Robert (Kim) Billstone of Plum, PA; and Lynn (Tom) Young of Darlington, PA (children of the late Suzanne Swanson Billstone). He also is survived by his best friend, Audrey Mader; eight grandsons; three granddaughters; and a great grandson.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penn. Ave. E., Warren, on Thursday, January 19, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there on Friday, January 20, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Jeff York, Calvary Chapel, officiating.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
