Elaine McDunn

Elaine Crecraft McDunn, 83, of Main Avenue, Warren, PA, died on January 30, 2017 after a short battle with cancer. She died in the home that she had lived in for 73 years, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born March 11, 1933 in Warren, Pa., the daughter of the late William H. and Aurelia Zoe (Thompson) Crecraft. She graduated in 1951 from Warren High School and was employed for 47 years at New Process Co. (Blair Corporation). Elaine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. In her younger years, she enjoyed horseback riding, traveling, especially to Dude Ranches, square dancing, and was an avid writer of poetry. She often composed poems for special family occasions. Her favorite spot was on the front porch swing where she had many conversations with her neighbors and friends
She is survived by her loving husband, James B. McDunn, whom she married on April 18, 1959, one brother Harold Crecraft and his wife, Sarah, of State College, PA, five nieces, Linda (Richard) Burroughs, Cheryl Saporito, Sandy (Randall) Britton, Deborah Crecraft, and Dassi (Allan) Sklan. Also, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews on her husband’s side of the family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved sister Ruth Saporito on January 16, 2006.
Friends may call at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penn. Ave. E., Warren, on Friday, February 3, from 3 to 6 pm. A funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 15360 US6, Warren, on Saturday, February 4, at 11am with viewing one hour prior to service, with Bishop Keith Fairbank.
Burial will be in the Warren County Memorial Park.
