John O’Neill
John Scott O’Neill, age 62, passed away on September 20, 2018 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with Cancer in San Antonio, TX.
Scott was born on June 12, 1956 in Jamestown, NY to parents John Dennis O’Neill and Susan Siggins O’Neill.
He grew up in Warren, PA and loved hunting, fishing, boxing, baseball, and football with his two brothers and being a big brother to his beloved sister.
He graduated from WAHS in 1974. Scott was an avid sports fan and player. He was a track and football star for high school and adopted the nickname, ” OJ “. Scott was a charter member of the first Warren soccer league.
On May 30, 1998, he married his wife of 20 years, Tammy Hollis O’Neill formally from Hope, AR.
He chose to serve his country in the Air Force and retired after 24 years of distinguished service as a Senior Master Sergeant. Scott enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf and fishing.
One of his favorite hobbies was playing cards, BBQ, and having a few beers.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Susan O’Neill. Scott is survived by his wife Tammy and three beautiful children, Jennifer O’Neill, age 32, Cullen O’Neill, age 15 and Laidan O’Neill, age 13 of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by brothers Dave O’Neill, Ben O’Neill and sisterlaw Debbie of Warren, PA and sister, Amy O’Neill Jenkins of Seattle, WA along with several nieces and nephews.
He was loved and will be missed by many.
Services to be held at a later date in San Antonio with a private graveside service at New Hope Cemetery in Hope, AR.
