Rose Scala
Rose Scala, 83, of Warren, Pa., died Thursday, October 18, 2018 at her residence after a brief illness. She was born March 14, 1935 in Morrison, Pa. to the late Francesco Bruno and Raffaele Primerano Raffaele. She has lived in the Warren area since 1977 and was a 1953 graduate of Warren High School. Rose earned an associate degree in business and sold real estate in Dallas, Tx.
She was a member of Holy Redeemer Church. Rose was a published author, writing the book “Girl from a Forgotten Village.” She is remembered for doing everything for her family.
She is survived by her 3 children – Dan Scala of Aurora, Il., Jeff Scala of Warren, Pa., Melany Barner of North Dakota, 4 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Scala who died October 11, 2013, 1 Brother – Frank Raffaele.
Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, Pa., on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from Noon until 1 p.m., when a funeral service will be conducted by Fr. James Gutting, officiating. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. To help defray funeral expenses, memorial contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home.
