Patricia M. Lundahl

Patricia Clare McComas Lundahl, 95, a lifelong resident of Warren, died peacefully at the Rouse Home, Youngsville, PA, where she had resided for the past 2 years after residing at the Rouse Suites for 6 years. She was born September 29. 1923, to the late Donald and Esther Johnstone McComas. She graduated from Warren High School in 1941 and went to work in New York City during the early years of World War II. On March 18, 1944, she married Willis (Bill) C. Lundahl and they were wed for 59 years prior to his death on January 31, 2003. Patty & Bill lived most of their married life at 9 Redwood St. in Warren. She was an 85+ year member of the First Presbyterian Church of Warren, where she was baptized, confirmed, married, served as an officer, and where her celebration of life service will be held. Patty was employed in the home raising her children and was a vibrant member of the Warren community. She loved being “Welcome Wagon Lady” in the 1980’s and made people feel welcomed to our community. She never met a person she didn’t like! She also briefly worked at Blair Corporation.

She is survived by four children, David Lundahl (Elaine) of Jacksonville, FL, Judith Edling (Fred) of Boston, MA, Christine Loranger (Rob) of Los Angeles, CA, and Anne Higgins (Jim) of Warren. Patty was blessed being “Nana” to twelve grandchildren, David Lundahl, Jr., Derek Lundahl, Christopher Edling, Jeffrey Edling, Peter Edling, Katie Edling Tomasetti, Rachelle Loranger Considine, Robert Loranger Jr, Julia Loranger Cohick, Abbie Higgins, and Drew Higgins. She was also blessed being “Great Nana” to fourteen greatgrandchildren and had a special relationship with great granddaughter Willow who visited her often.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patty was preceded in death by her mother Esther Johnstone McComas who died after childbirth and Patty & other siblings were 9 yrs old and younger, stepmother Edith Knabb McComas, her inlaws Carl & Edna Lundahl, twin brother Donald McComas, Jr., brother Andrew McComas, and sisters Charlotte McComas Zook and Dorothy Drew McComas, & grandson Andrew Edling. Surviving siblings are Murray (Marie) McComas of Russell, Margy McComas Morris of Queensbury, NY, and Jeffrey (Jane) McComas of Salt Lake City, UT, along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 1011 AM on Saturday, April 13, at First Presbyterian Church, 300 Market St, Warren, PA 16365, with a funeral service at 11 AM, with the Rev. Rebecca Taylor, pastor, officiating.

In addition, there will be a memorial service held for the family over the summer. The Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Warren, 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, PA, 16365, is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 300 Market St., Warren, Pa or Warren Public Library, 205 Market St., Warren, PA.
