The Trickle - Volleyblog

August 21, 2012 - Brian Ferry
The Volleyblog is back. I won't claim it's better than ever. I heard this morning that a friend was featured in the Pittsburgh Post Gazette over the weekend. This friend is Mike Ressler, volleyball player/coach and, in this case, statistics nut. Mike's product, StatEasy, was the focus of the story. I've seen Mike using this stat software at some volleyball events, and he explained it to me in his very technical style. I tried to explain to him that I'm a journalist, but then I just let him roll. He was in his element. So, according to this story, Mike is looking to get his product out there and create some buzz. Anyone looking for stat software (it works for other sports, too (I suppose I can't hold that against him, it's a business decision)) might want to check it out. For free.

(Yep, free.) ".. StatEasy is currently being offered to coaches and athletic directors for free, while students and parents pay $150 to create an end-of-season highlight reel or $300 for a reel that covers the entire season."
