Cloudy with a chance of...

February 8, 2013 - Brian Collins
Onion rings?

That's right. Onion rings... or at least it seemed that way this morning on my way into work.

The aroma of freshly sauteed or deep fried mushrooms filled the air causing Jake Perryman and I to exchange confused looks as he left for an assignment and I strolled into work.

"Well, this is odd weather," I laughed as we passed, looking up at the heavy snowflakes falling from the sky despite the nearly 40 degree temperature.

"It smells like onion rings," Jake said, wrinkling up his nose.

Sitting down at my desk, I laughed out loud at my own joke: "It's cloudy with a chance of onion rings," I announced to my colleagues, stirring up a chuckle or two, but mostly just blank stares.

Oh well, not as funny to them as it was to me.
