The Trickle - More awakening

July 8, 2013 - Brian Ferry
During a recent newsroom discussion of something, I was given a hard time for not having read one of the classics.

The next day, Jake came in bearing a copy of "To Kill a Mockingbird." The crowd made it clear this is a must-read.

So, over the course of two weeks (I don't have as much free time as I once did), I read the thing.

It was quite good, carrying a powerful message. I'll leave it at that lest I give away more than you care to know in advance.

If you're looking for a read, I give it a thumbs up. (Should that be "thumb's" because it's a contraction? Should it be "thumb's" because the thumb is the possessor of the up (I phrased that oddly, but I think it makes sense)? Or, did I get it right the first time?)

Just don't give up on it in the first 50 pages or so.
