"Remember that there is enough negativity in this world."

No, there isn't.

The current view is the side of a large, tattered brick wall. This is the first thing many people see when they come here. Shouldn't we all remember this when we are so quick to criticize the content of this project? The negativity that is maintained by so many of the citizens of this county is astounding. To those of you who print negative responses to anything you read: Maybe it is yourself that needs to change. Remember that there is enough negativity in this world. We don't need more of it here.

It goes without saying that Ms. Turk is gifted artist. but we are going to show people we have three or four sites in warren that will be repeated immediately after people drive two blocks...ugh...

I think that they should paint a mural to bookend the new fountain, complete with an English Stag, salmon, and other non indigenous wildlife.

So the essence of Warren is a bunch of old buildings? I believe the mural is too static and has too much stuff with no focal point. No excitement whatsoever.

Why not a t POW /MIA flag too. Plus, where's the Eisenhower Knights flag?

Everyone's a critic: They don't much about art, but they know it when they see it. Since when does City Council have a say in a private endeavor? All they have the authority to approve is mural or no mural. Content is out of their scope.

Also I have no problems with the flag being higher. But we need to give the same curtesy to our vets that fought under that flag in my opinion!

What about "Courtesy to our vets" they fought and died for that flag? I still think council dropped the ball on charging them to use the parks! Great letter Kathe Rapp had in the readers speaks the other day. Thank you Kathy Rapp for a well said letter! Just my opinion. I do agree the welcome to warren is hard to see where it is!

Shouldn't it say "Welcome to Warren County"? Unless, of course, the city has annexed all that real estate between the Glade Bridge and the Kinzua Dam. I think a better idea would have been to put the refinery in the background, and we could have drawn thousands of tourists to the world's largest scratch and sniff strip. Nice painting, though.
