dubedit, there aren't many cities the size of Warren with a paid fire department. Perhaps a paid ambulance crew and rig drivers at the very most. There are plenty of VFD's that would respond or form a new one to cover the city. The city needs a full time ambulance IMO.

Well the obvious cut would be an Assistant City Manager position. Also Just Observing, when did you grow up, the 1920's? According to my memory and the fact that my dad was a playground supervisor in the mid 1960's I have to pose that question.

The new city manager needs to go? So you propose spending until Warren runs out of money, then bankruptcy? You should be in Congress! The problem is a paid fire department, but that is a sacred cow.

When I grew up there was no playground program. Parents stood by and watched out for accidents or we just all played without supervision. Life was a lot simpler then......

Well thank God we just spent nearly $30k on Christmas lights. I'm all for making our city beautiful at Christmas, but not at the expense of cutting important programs. Yes I realize some of that was donations received, but not all of it. This new city manager needs to go. What's next? Increasing the park rental fees for our veterans to hold memorial celebrations?
