November 1, 2013

The academic year is nearly two months old but that doesn’t mean everyone is settled in yet at the Warren Area Elementary Center....

Has anyone filed a right to know on the building capacity? If they are over capacity, aren't there legal issues?

teacher, I have worked for Ruth in the past and you are so right! I think that the staff is too afraid to speak out about what is really going on up at WAEC for fear of losing their jobs.

Anyone who has worked with or for Mrs. Nelson knows in her world you do as your told and you don't complain or else.... I'd love to hear what the those teacher would have to say if it wasn't Ruth doing the listening.

The report by Ms. Nelson is sort of funny in a way. The Board wanted this to happen. I'm sure she's going to provide a report that feeds to their decision. Do we really think teachers are report any significant issues to her. Do we really think the teachers would trust that interaction? One can only laugh at the thought of her reporting multiple issues, multiple problems etc. Not saying there necessarily are or aren't just that there is a zero percent chance for honesty here.

No plan to move 5th grade to Beaty. Beaty is going to be 6-8 and WAEC K-5.

The school is way over crowded. The school board jumped the gun on this one. They should have at least waited until they could place fifth grade at Beaty to consolidate. A school built for a capacity of 725 children should not have 900 plus children in it.
