A well done editorial. Hopefully the Commissioners will learn something from their actions. Namely that by not involving the Public in the discussion of key topics results in the public turning their back on the Commissioners when they come asking for support. The bed tax issue was completely and totally flubbed on their part for no reason other than their unwillingness to be open to the Public from the very beginning. They had a good case for their actions. If they blame anyone else but themselves for the debacle and failure of their efforts then they'll show they learned nothing. The School District situation will only improve if the new superintendent decides to be his own man and steps away from the methods of the long time School Board President who seems to thrive in an atmosphere that is characterized by his control of the agenda and discouraging public input, other than carefully selected pre-approved public input.
