The sign is tasteful and very beautiful. How someone can call it stark and of bad architectural design is mind boggling. Here is the city's chance to update an very outdated ordinance by setting new standards that actually help business market their brand. It is essential in today's world. If you are not going to allow this sign, then lets us discuss the giant welcome to Warren sign, as Kinzua1 mentioned above, and get that scaled back to the loose leaf notebook size sign that fits the residential ordinance.

It's hard to have respect for an organization that would rather ask forgiveness than permission. Ignorance of the law is no excuse for violating the law. Willful ignorance is unethical and bad practice. DENIED.

The lighting can easily be toned down to be less stark by changing the equivalent of bulbs. All things considered, Nelson has the better argument. The follow-the-law point has been made. This isn't deliberate scofflaw behavior. It's just a screwup. Straighten it out while preserving the overall principles.

I was just wondering? Where is the line for R3 zoning is? That HUGE city of Warren sign that was installed in the park on 7th st.so it may be viewed from the four lane as you come in to Warren from the north? That sign is "HUGE" and when you blink your eye then you come to that much, much smaller sign mounted flush on the Crary building ,something is NOT right here.
