WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) — A father says he couldn't even recognize the badly beaten son he later agreed to remove from life support following a northeastern Pennsylvania robbery a year ago.

Twenty-year-old Breon Judon is on trial in Luzerne County Court in the August 2012 death of 29-year-old Aaron Reznick, who died 10 days after he was found beaten on a Hazleton street.

John Reznick testified Tuesday that he couldn't even recognize his son because of his injuries and had to identify him from a scar.

Prosecutors allege that the victim was killed during a dispute over an iPhone offered as payment during an alleged drug deal.

Defense attorney Allyson Kacmarski blamed the slaying on a former co-defendant, 18-year-old Mitchell Dedes, who has pleaded guilty to third-degree murder, kidnapping and robbery
