SLATINGTON, Pa. (AP) — A pilot has been injured after his airplane flipped on the runway at a small eastern Pennsylvania airport.
WFMZ-TV (http://bit.ly/1aSpP8F) said the accident happened shortly after noon on Thursday at Slatington Airport in Lehigh County.
A spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration said the pilot was landing his small, single-engine Cessna L-19 when it flipped on the runway.
The FAA will investigate the crash. No immediate details were available on what caused the accident.
The pilot was taken to a hospital with what were believed to be minor injuries. The pilot's name was not released.
