On Thursday at about 9:35 p.m. Owens allegedly walked up to the customer service desk at the Pittston Wal-Mart, slammed his hand on the counter and slid a note to an employee, demanding cash. Police say the employee refused and Owens left empty-handed. Pittston is just outside Scranton.
