OSHA probing NW Pa. trucking worker's crush death

December 31, 2013
Associated Press

ERIE, Pa. (AP) — The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating after a worker was crushed by a truck trailer he was working on at a northwestern Pennsylvania trucking company.

Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook says the victim is 32-year-old Ryan Kunzler, of North East.

Millcreek Township police say the man was working to separate a truck from its trailer at Five Star International when he was crushed beneath the trailer about 10 a.m. Monday.

The coroner has ruled the death an accident.

OSHA probes all workplace fatalities, and does not comment until investigations are complete. That typically takes about six months.
