March 27, 2014
Associated Press

NANTICOKE, Pa. (AP) — A northeastern Pennsylvania community college has evacuated its campus after officials said a threat was received.

Luzerne County Community College said on its website Thursday that the main campus in Nanticoke and all off-campus sites were closed "due to a threat directed at the college."

Officials said no one would be allowed at any campus location until further notice.

School officials did not specify the nature of the threat but said local, county and state authorities had been notified along with the FBI.
