Times Observer

A portion of a quote from Cathy Pedler of the Allegheny Defense Project was omitted from a story in Saturday's Times Observer. The quote is as follows: "with barely over 1 percent of the Allegheny designated as wilderness while the average for eastern national forests is 11 percent, the ANF never has been a multiple use forest. The 1960 Multiple-Use Sustained-Yield Act states that 'The establishment and maintenance of areas of wilderness are consistent with the purposes and provisions of this Act.'"
