Two local residents are December graduates of Lycoming College, Williamsport: Alicia R. Wismar received a bachelor of arts degree in financial accounting and is a resident of Columbus. Amanda R. Wismar received a bachelor of arts degree in financial accounting and is a resident of Columbus.
Several local students were named to the dean's list for the fall semester at Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport, a special mission affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University: Nicholas A. Anderson, Warren, bachelor of science candidate in welding and fabrication engineering technology; Kristi R. California, Warren, bachelor of science candidate in physician assistant; Robert J. Forbes, Warren, bachelor of science candidate in welding and fabrication engineering technology; Matthew D. Jeffrey, Warren, bachelor of science candidate in information technology: web & applications development concentration; Michael J. Loranger, Warren, bachelor of science candidate in welding and fabrication engineering technology.
Also, Adam C. Nagurney, Warren, earned an associate of applied science degree in heavy construction equipment technology: technician emphasis in December.
Senior Kyle D. Essick of Warren has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2009 semester at Lock Haven University, Lock Haven, Pa. To qualify for the dean's list, students must have earned a grade average of 3.5 or better. Essick is studying English and writing.
Jami Pearson, daughter of Will and Kerry Pearson of Warren, graduated Aug. 7 from Duquesne University's Rangos School of Health Sciences with a master of physician assistant degree and a cumulative grade average of 3.8. She passed her national certification exam on Aug. 27 and has recently accepted the position of physician assistant in obstetrics and gynecology at Mercy Medical Center's Weinberg Center for Women's Health and Medicine in Baltimore, Md. Pearson graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in May of 2006 with a bachelor of science degree in biology and is a 2002 graduate of Warren Area High School.
Eight Warren County students were named to the dean's list at Gannon University, Erie, for the fall 2009 semester. Full-time students had to earn a grade average of 3.5 or better to qualify for the list. Named were:

Lauren Willis, Spring Creek; and
Jennifer Baldensperger, Elizabeth Dunn, Christopher Haight, Daniel Pascuzzi and Chelsey Straight of Warren.
Jeffrey M. Williams of Warren has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2009 semester at Clarkson University, Potsdam, N.Y., He is a senior chemical engineering major. To be named tot he list, students must earn a grade average of 3.25 or better.
Gabrielle Rogus, daughter of Paul and Martha Rogus of Warren, has been accepted by Edinboro University for the fall term. A student at Warren Area High School, she has been active in dance, art club, ambassadors club and German Club. She plans to major in pre-nursing.
Alli Jerman, daughter of Patrick and Shari Jerman of Warren, has been named to the fall 2009 dean's list at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh. She is a freshman in the Mylan School of Pharmacy. To be named to the list, a student must earn a grade average of 3.5 or better.
