Kevin Michael Day, 51, of 100 E. St Clair St. Clair Street, Warren, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at John and Orpha Blair Hospice House.
Kevin was born February 23, 1959, in Warren, PA., the son of Donald and Janet Lauffenberger Day of Warren. Kevin was a 1977 graduate of Warren Area High School. He then began his career with the U.S. Navy, serving for twenty years. He was stationed in Norfolk VA., and served aboard many ships throughout his career, traveling all over the world. He worked on supply ships for the large part, and also served in the Gulf War. He resided in Norfolk, VA., and most recently in American Falls, Idaho. Since his Navy retirement, he worked at various jobs including a saw mill in West Point VA., then painting and sandblasting in Idaho.
Kevin was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors and was a member of the hunting club in Williamsburg, VA.

In addition to his parents, Kevin is survived by his wife Teresa Keller Day, Warren, PA, a daughter, Karen Day, Wilmington, DE, one brother, Tim Day and his wife Kelly, Warren, PA, three sisters, Denise Rougeux and her husband Russell, Unity, WI, Debbie Murray and her husband Calvin, Warren, PA, and Cynthia Hultberg and her husband Kevin, Erie, PA; two step sons, Christopher Barnes and his wife Venessa, Pocatello, ID, and Sgt. Randy Barnes, serving in the U.S Army, York Town, VA; two step daughters, Michelle Elder and her husband Christopher, Idaho Falls, ID, and Angela Neibaur and her husband Aaron, American Falls, ID; eleven grandchildren and five nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Judith Steele.
Friends will be received at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Sunday, December 5, from, 68 p.m., where a funeral service will be held on Monday, December 6, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Neil Siefert, pastor, Emanuel United Church of Christ, officiating. Members of the Sheffield and Clarendon VFW will provide full military honors at the graveside, assisted by active duty Navy personnel, stationed in Erie, PA.
Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
