Free throw
Tidioute Knights of Columbus will hold their annual Free Throw at the Tidioute Community Charter School at 1 p.m. today.
Participants will need to furnish proof of age and written parental consent.
All contestants on the local level are recognized for their participation in this event.
Senior Center menu
On Thursday, Jan. 6, they will be serving fish, cole slaw, potatoes and dessert.
Monday, Jan. 10, will be bacon cheeseburgers, macaroni salad, dessert.
Tuesday, Jan. 11, will be the birthday dinner consisting of stuffed chicken breast,potatoes, vegetables, birthday cake and ice cream.
Thursday, Jan. 13, will be hamburger gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetables and dessert.
Fire Dept. officers
Following the December election for line officers in the Tidioute Area Volunteer Fire Department the following were elected.
Chief-Mark Veasey, C-2-Jack Fulkman, C-3-Eric Garza.
Board members elected were Jack Fulkman and Jim Silvis.
The department members meet the last Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at the firehall.
Any person, male or female, in the Tidioute Area who would like to become a volunteer firefighter, EMT or a member of the fire police should come to a monthly meeting and meet with the officers to discuss your desires to become a member.
Volunteers are always needed for ambulance calls and fire calls.
Proper training will be done before you are permitted to go on these calls.
Why not start out the new year with a new experience at helping others. New and active members are a must to keep a department running and ready when needed.
PSCFT Bingo
Sunday Bingo will be held on Sunday, Jan. 9, at Buccardo's Restaurant.
Doors open at 3 p.m. and the games will begin at 4 p.m.
This is sponsored by the Pennsylvania State Championship Fishing Tournament with proceeds supporting the tournaments events in September from the 22nd to the 25th.
Health Fair
Once again you can watch for the date and times for the Tidioute Health Fair which will take place again this Spring.
Marty Bennett will be working closely with members of the Warren General Hospital to make sure this Health Fair is bigger and better than the others.
Once a definite date has been set, appointments will be taken.

Fire Dept Bingo
Wednesday night Bingo at Tidioute Fire Hall with doors opening at 5 p.m., early bird games begin at 6 p.m. and regular bingo starts at 7 p.m.
Helen Williams is the new coordinator, she and her helpers look forward to assisting you in your Wednesday night games.
Proceeds benefit the Tidioute Area Volunteer Fire Department.

Chicken dinner
A Chicken and Biscuit Dinner will be held at the Tidioute First United Methodist Church on Saturday, Jan. 15 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Cost is $6 per person.
Menu will include Chicken and Gravy, homemade biscuits, vegetable, dessert and beverage.
Delivery to Tidioute Towers by calling 484-7721 and you can request take outs.
Super Bowl Soups
Tidioute First United Methodist Church members will be holding their annual Super Bowl Sunday Soup Sales following the worship services on Sunday, February 6.
Sales will be from noon until the soups are gone.
Prices and soups will be listed when available.
Watson Grange
Members of the Watson Grange will meet at the home of Orren Wood for the birthday dinner.
Box tops
Tidioute Community Charter School is collecting BOX TOPS for education and are requesting your support.
Their goal is to collect 15 percent more than last year.
