Hydration testing
At a Personnel/Athletics and Co-Curricular Committee meeting held on Tuesday night, James Miller, Coordinator of District-Wide Athletics and Co-Curricular Activities for the district, explained to the committee that required hydration testing prior to wrestling season will be the responsibility of a wrestler's parents. Miller said a list of certified providers will be provided by the district and given to each participant. This was a test that, in past years, was conducted by athletic trainers.

With a win over Bradford on Thursday, the Beaty eighth-grade girls basketball team finished 20-0. The Dragons started off their season by winning the second annual Corry Tournament. The three leading scorers this season were Paige Wilson with 234 points, Mackenzie Boice 162 points, and D.J. Hahn 155 points. Four players played for the eighth-grade team both years, including Kaitlin Sedon, Kaitlyn Adams, Hahn and Wilson. Over the last two years, Hahn and Wilson started every game with Hahn scoring over 300 points and Wilson over 500 points. Warren County Christian School graduate and Pitt-Bradford women's volleyball team member Laura Long had 36 assists for the Panthers (10-13) in a 3-1 loss to Buffalo State on Wednesday. Long will play her final regular season match Saturday when the Lady Panthers host Pitt-Greensburg.

Eisenhower High School graduate and Penn State Behrend women's tennis team member Rachel Harris, along with partner Jade Buhite, was an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference first-team selection at number three doubles for the recently completed tennis season. In addition, Harris was an AMCC second team selection at number six singles.

The Beaty eighth-grade girls basketball team completed a perfect 20-0 season with a 42-24 victory over Bradford on Thursday. Paige Wilson led the Dragons with 15 points, Abbey Daley added six points, D.J. Hahn five points, Mackenzie Boice and Sierra Wees four points and Kaitlyn Sedon, Abby Russ, Claudia Olson and Lizzy Marsh two points each.
Bradford won the seventh-grade contest, 42-27. The Dragons got eight points from Megan Wortman, five points from Kathryn Lobdell, four points from Maddie Loutzenhiser, three points from Haley Tuller, two points from Bailee Hoffman, Kaitlyn Reitz and Haley Nelson and one point from Rachel Cecco.
