College news

Warren Area High School graduate and Penn State Behrend women's swim team member Julie Cook competed for the Lady Lions in a 226-55 loss to Gannon on Tuesday. Cook and teammates claimed a third place finish in the 200 medley relay with a swim of 1:57.41. Later in the night, Cook claimed a third place finish in the 50 breast with a swim of 34.65.

Bowl for a Cure
The Warren United States Bowling Congress Women’s Bowling Association held its annual Bowl for A Cure, benefitting Kanzius Cancer Research Foundation on October 29. A total of $464.34 was raised for the cause. Warren Area High School graduate and Pitt-Bradford men's basketball team member Tyler Fantaskey scored six points for the Panthers during a 94-50 setback to Buffalo State on Tuesday. Fantaskey and the Panthers (1-3) return to action Wednesday at D'Youville.

Warren Area High School graduate and Pitt-Bradford women's basketball team member Hollie Rapp scored a team-high 13 points and pulled down eight rebounds in the team's 80-32 loss to Saint Vincent on Tuesday. Rapp and the Lady Panthers (2-2) are back in action Friday at the St. John Fisher Woodcliff Hotel and Spa Invitational.

Gymnastics

The Warren County YMCA Powerhouse gymnastics team competed in the Brookville Invitational on Saturday. Hanna Taylor, Delaney Alcorn and Mariette Williams all scored individual first place awards and the Level 5 team finished second overall.
