Sheffield Area High School graduate and Penn State DuBois women's basketball player Tessa Vargas scored 18 points and added two rebounds and three assists in a 74-63 victory over Penn State Schuylkill Friday.

On?Saturday, Vargas finished with 15 points, three assists and two boards in a 74-70 victory over PSU-Brandywine.

Warren Area High School graduate and Pitt-Bradford women's basketball player Hollie Rapp scored 12 points for the Lady Panthers in a 62-53 victory over Franciscan on Saturday. Rapp and the Lady Panthers (4-4) travel to Medaille on Wednesday.

Warren Area High School graduate and Pitt-Bradford men's basketball player Tyler Fantaskey scored four points for the Panthers in a 66-52 victory over Franciscan on Saturday. Fantaskey and the Panthers (2-4) visit Medaille on Wednesday.

Warren Area High School graduate and Penn State Behrend women's swim team member Sarah Jelinek competed for the Lions at the Fredonia State Bule Devil Invitational this past weekend. Jelinek and teammates earned a sixth-place finish in the 800 free relay on Friday. The Lions' finishing time was 9:42.37.

Warren graduate and Penn State Behrend women's swim team member Julie Cook also competed for the Lions at the event. On Saturday, Cook and teammates placed third in the 400 medley relay with a swim of 4:12.35. Later, Cook placed fifth in the 100 breast with a swim of 1:12.63 and competed in the 200 free relay, finishing in 1:44.08.
