Dear editor:
I was taken back by the by the waste of taxpayers money and resources not to mention the size of the article of the "vehicular assault" on to my understanding a stray cat.
Really? Morris received more attention than a fatal car accident in the community! My question is why someone on Morrison St. did not take the cat home to give it the proper care? They fed it,tended to its wounds, and payed it visits.Instead wait till the obvious happens like it always does because people let their pets run free.
I would think if any wrong doing was done the local police would have just issued a fine and maybe track down the cat's owner and fined them too. All in all, county citizens missed a days pay (minus the whopping $11.00 jury duty rembursment), judicial and law enforcement resources where tied up and the condition of the Glade Bridge may be postponed because of the amount of taxpayer funding this took away, all because a negligent pet owner.
Americans are dying for your freedom, the economy is on the brink of extinction except bicycle sales sure to be up this summer, that would be a more common sense front page article!
Much more could be said on this issue and we all know it will, but that is MY opinion and we all know what they go hand and hand with!
Have a wonderful day.
Toby Davis,
Warren
