Tree deadline

approaching

The Warren County Conservation District's 2012 spring tree seedling and plant sale is scheduled for April 20 and 21 at the former TAWC Garage in Starbrick. Order deadline is March 30. For sale are evergreens, perennials, hardwoods, apple trees, peach trees, blueberry bushes and more. To receive an order form, visit the district's web site at www.wcconservation.net, or call the Conservation District at 726-1441.

Class to lunch

Warren High School Class of 1960 invites classmates and all friends of the class to lunch at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at the Eagles Club, Pennsylvania Ave. E., Warren.

Hill & Dale to meet

"Emergency Preparedness" with Scott Weikert will be the topic of Hill & Dale Garden Club at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at Akeley United Methodist Church. A brown bag auction also will be held. Devotions will be led by Eleanor Wilcox, and hostesses will be Eleanor Johnson, chairperson, and Lucille Leathers, Carol Lewis and Brenda Rodgers.

'In a Pig's Eye'

What is your favorite expression? Participants in the next JCC Primetime Series Class "In a Pig's Eye" will discuss the origins and significance of each expression and share some of their own favorites.
