The restoration project at Irvine Presbyterian Church is progressing well, according to member Joanne Oviatt. The side walls have been repaired by removing stones and beams at the top of the walls, straightening, strengthening and reassembling them to their original condition. New problems were discovered at the front and back corners, but they are minor in comparison to the original problems. The new trusses are scheduled to arrive next week, and the roof will be removed to install them.
