The Warren County Horseshoes League will hold an organizational meeting for the upcoming season at 7 p.m. Monday at the Pleasant Valley Inn in Pittsfield. Anyone interested in pitching for the upcoming season is welcome to attend.

Swim champions
Several members of the Warren County Special Olympics participated in a swim meet held Saturday in Erie. Results for the meet were published in Thursday’s Times Observer. Those participating included, front row, from left, Kaylee Turner, Brook Evans, Tina Edwards, Linda Buser, Mary Ann Hill and Connor Campbell, and, back row, coach Dawn Turner, Brenda Huya, Cheryl Graves and coach Greg Heinold.
Andy Hanks and Erik Fincher shared low gross of 36 and Fincher had low net of 30 in Tuesday Night Golf League play at Jackson Valley Golf Club.

Stateline practice
Busti, N.Y.'s Stateline Speedway will hold its second practice session of the season on Saturday. Hot laps will start at 1 p.m. and continue through 5 p.m. There will be free grandstand admission for fans.
The season opener on Saturday, May 5, will feature a double points night and a Super Late Model Run For The Money event. For information, visit www.stateline-speedway.com.
Time change
The East Forest at Tidioute Charter softball game scheduled for Monday, April 30, will start at 3 p.m. rather than the previously scheduled 4 p.m. start time.
Umpire training
There will be an "on field" umpire training session for the Warren County Youth Baseball Softball Association at noon Saturday at the Farm Colony Complex. The instruction is an extention of the two mandatory umpire training courses held over the past few weeks. Any interested umpires for the 2012 Little League season are asked to attend.
