AOC to canoe
On Sunday, April 29, the Allegheny Outdoor Club (AOC) will stage a two-day kayak/canoe float on Tionesta Creek from Sheffield to the Nebraska Bridge. Participants should take their camping gear, breakfasts, lunches, and beverages for both days and meet at the Sheffield put-in at 7:30 a.m. Sunday. They will float approximately 20 miles to Mayburg, where they will camp overnight, with a hot dog supper provided. On Monday they will float approximately 20 miles from Mayburg to the Nebraska Bridge. There will be a sag wagon to haul supplies. Those who plan to do this event must call event leader Dennis Anderson at (716) 483-2288 by Wednesday, April 25, to make the necessary arrangements. Hospice program Wednesday
Hospice of Warren County will host the Hospice Foundation of America's 19th annual Living with Grief Program at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Warren Public Library. call 723-2455 for information or registration. Hon. Maureen Skerda will lead discussion about end of life ethics after the program.
Men to breakfast
Men of Warren High School Class of 1951 will have breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, at Perkins restaurant in Warren.
Cemetery meeting
Jackson Run Cemetery Association will have its annual meeting at 1 p.m. on May 12, rain or shine, at the cemetery. All lot holders are welcome.
Dance this weekend
Linda Dies Dance Unlimited will present "Dance the World April 27-28, in the auditorium at Warren Area High school. Shows are planned for 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday. The public is invited.
Sale planned
A rummage sale will be sponsored by Russell Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary April 27-28 at the fire hall. Hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Items will be $1 per bag Saturday. Donations will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on April 26.
Rummage sale
A spring rummage sale will be sponsored by Trinity United Methodist Church, Clarendon, April 27-28. Hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Memorial Thursday
The Victim Impact Panel Memorial will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 26, on the front steps of the Warren County Courthouse.
