Crash. Warren-based state police said that at 1:12 a.m. on April 29 the driver of a 1999 Subaru Legacy was traveling east on Jackson Run Rd., made a left turn into a driveway and attempted to turn around. The driver of the vehicle then drove into the ditch, fled the scene and walked to his residence. The driver later reported the vehicle stolen to police. Police said the driver was charged with leaving roadways laned for travel. Further charges are pending.
Youngsville
Crash. Warren-based state police responded at 10 p.m. on May 2 to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy 6, approximately 344 feet east of Thatchers Ln. According to police, Norman Maynard, 58, Youngsville driving a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country, was leaving the parking lot of the Kwik Fill gas station located on SR-6. Larry Streich, 50, Warren was driving a 2007 Western Star west on SR-6 at the intersection with East Main St. when he observed Maynard's vehicle exiting the Kwik Fill parking lot. As Maynard drove south approaching the westbound lane of SR-6, he attempted to bring his car to a stop by applying the brake but his right foot slipped off the brake pedal causing his vehicle to travel into the westbound lane and striking Streich's vehicle on the right side of the #4 axle. After impact, Maynard's vehicle traveled approximately 51 feet in a northwest direction through a private yard coming to a stop facing west. Streich's vehicle came to a final stop along the north berm approximately 75 feet west of the crash. Police said Maynard was charged with failure to yied when entering or crossing the roadway between intersections. Maynard received minor injuries. Streich, was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

Harassment. Warren-based state police said that at 3:46 p.m. on May 1 on Cobham Park Road a 16-year old male grabbed a 15-year old male from behind causing a red mark on his left cheek. Anyone with information is asked to call the Warren State Police at 728-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-83CRIME.

Criminal Mischief. Warren-based state police said that at 4:20 p.m. on May 5 at Docksiders Cafe two known men damaged the air freshener in the men's bathroom. Anyone with information is asked to call the Warren State Police at 728-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-83CRIME.

Criminal Mischief. Warren-based state police said that Ryan Mortenson, Yankee Bush Rd., Warren reported that between 1 a.m. and 6:20 a.m. on May 4 someone tried to knock or pull his mailbox down, causing damage to the mailbox as well as the pole the box was attached to. Theft. Warren-based state police reported two separate thefts that occurred between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. on April 29. Restoration Youth Ranch said someone stole the following items: two motor stands. angle iron with holes punched, galvanized and stainless exhaust sections, small crank lift and threaded bolts valued at $150. A Stoney Run resident said someone took a metal chimney insert valued at $50.
