ELOISE BROWN

Eloise Arlene Driscoll Brown went home to be with the Lord on June 19, 2012. She died at home sur-rounded by her loving fam-ily. She was born on May 3, 1932 in Forksville, Sul-livan County, Pa. a daughter of the late Fred and Harriett (McCarty) Driscoll.

Eloise was a 1950 gra-duate of Loyalsock High School, Estella, Pa and a 1955 graduate of Houghton College, Houghton, NY, where she majored in Chris-tian Education. Eloise worked for several years at the Office of Children and Youth in Sullivan County, Pa. She later completed her teaching certificate and re-ceived a master's degree from Mansfield College, Mansfield, Pa. Eloise taught kindergarten in Sul-livan County, and third grade at Russell Elementa-ry School in Russell, Pa from 1968 until her retire-ment in 1997.

Eloise was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and loved spending time with her family. She was a de-vout Christian woman who loved the Lord with all of her heart and taught Sun-day School for many years. She loved art, painting several lovely oil paintings and beautiful china paint-ings. She was a talented cake decorator, using her talents to create the cakes for both of her daughters weddings and numerous birthday cakes for family parties. Eloise also loved gardening, bird watching, especially hummingbirds, canning, baking and hold-ing her beloved kitties.

Eloise is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Richard M. Brown, whom she met at Houghton Col-lege. They were married on September 5, 1932 at Millview Wesleyan Church, Forksville, Sul-livan County, Pa.

Surviving are two daughters, Dale Ann (Wolf-Dieter) Krahn, James-town, NY and Nadean (Randall) Huck, Russell, Pa; seven grandchildren, Julie (Joe) Irons, Lake-wood, NY, David (Nikki) Long, Youngsville, Pa, Ja-ney Long, Pittsburgh, Pa, Laura Long, Pittsfield, Pa, Jennifer Huck, Russell, Pa, Jason (Misty) Huck, Russell, PA, and Kari (Clin-ton) Salapek, Russell, Pa; four great-grandchildren, Jayla Long, Brayden Long, Jack Irons, and Ryan Huck as well as three pre-born great-grandchildren that will be joining the family soon.

Also surviving are on brother, Marvin (Jule) Driscoll, Canton, Pa, one sister Doris Wells, Hough-ton, NY, and a sister-in-law Elaine Lydick, Pleasant-ville, Pa as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Eloise was preceded in death by an infant grand-daughter, Julie Nadean Huck, three brothers Carl Driscoll, Wayne Driscoll, and Dale Driscoll; and two sisters, Marion Driscoll McCarty and Marguerite Driscoll Pardoe.

Friends are invited to call on Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Youngsville branch of McKinney Fun-eral Homes and Cremation Services, Inc from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Cable Hollow Community Church in Russell, Pa, with Rev. Alan Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery following the ser-vice.
