P. Robert Goodwill, 83, of 101 N. Amelia Ave., DeLand, Fl, and formerly of Warren, Pa., passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2012 surrounded by his family.
P. Robert was born Au-gust 1, 1928, in Warren, Pa., the son of the late Paul and Margaret Carlson Goodwill. P. Robert was a graduate of Kettering University in Flint, Michi-gan, he also attended Hoff's Business School in Warren, Pa., and the G.M. Institute. He was employed as an In-surance Salesman for Bal-timore Life Insurance for 25 years, and then for Guardian Life Insurance for 15 years, from which he retired. He served in the US Army during the Korean War.
A very active church member of the North Warren Presbyterian Church and the West Minister Presbyterian Church of De Land, Fl, P. Robert served as a lay minister for both and was a member of ses-sion and attended the Gen-eral Assembly. He was also a member of Corsillo, and had attended group reun-ions in Florida for the last 20 years. He was a man who always gave people a second chance, and always did everything he could to help those in need. In 1973, he donated one of his kidneys to his sister, Sandra. He was also a member of the DeLand AARP Chapter 4029; the Council on Ag-ing in Volusia County, Florida and was awarded Man of the Year in the City of DeLand.

He is survived by his daughter, Marguerite Dalrymple; two sons, Paul Goodwill and wife Lynne, Robert A. Goodwill and wife Sandy, all of Warren, Pa.; his brother, Richard Goodwill and wife Julie, of Erie, Pa.; and seven grandchildren, Mynda Rossman, Warren, Pa., Nichole Boyd, Nashville, Tn, Emily Jones, Warren, Pa., Sarah Goodwill, Mercer, Pa., Leslie Goodwill, Tidioute, Pa., Dr. Adam Goodwill, Indianapolis, In., and Betsy Goodwill, War-ren, Pa.; six great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death on June 5, 1991, by his wife, Georgia Lou Utley Goodwill, whom he married January 30, 1951 in Bel Air, MD; an infant daughter; sister, Sandra Goodwill Hixson and dear friend, Virginia Blakeslee.
Friends will be received at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, on Tuesday, July 10, from 6 to 8 p.m., and for one hour prior to a funeral service to be held there on Wednesday, July 11 at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Dan Wolboldt, cha-plain, Warren State Hospi-tal, officiating.
A memorial service in DeLand, Fl will be an-nounced at a later date.
Burial will be in Oak-land Cemetery, Warren, Pa.
