Possession. Warren-based state police reported that an incident occurred as police were at a residence on Oak Street on an unrelated matter on July 5 at 9:21 p.m. when police found numerous items that were in plain view that were suspected of being illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. A search of the residence produced numerous additional drug items and drug paraphernalia items. Patricia A. Lyon and Steven Lyon were both charged with endangering the welfare of a child and corruption of a minor due to the location of the seized items. Both were also charged with two counts of drug possessiion and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Forest County
Crash. Marienville-based state police responded to a one-vehicle crash on PA-666, west of Minister Road, on July 9 at 2:07 p.m. A 1993 Mazda Miata, driven by James M. Eggleston, Warren, was travling west on 666. The vehicle reportedly traveled across the center line and into the eastbound lane before traveling off the southern side of the roadway and across a parking pull off, stiking a tree. Eggleston sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene by personnel from Sheffield EMS. He was then transported to Warren General Hospital for further treatment. The vehicle sustained severe front-end damage and was towed from the scene.
