WAHS XC meeting
There will be a parent meeting for any boy or girl entering grades 7-12 at Warren or Sheffield high schools or Beaty Warren Middle School interested in joining the Warren cross country team this fall at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Warren Area High School cafeteria.

Industrial rosters due
Rosters and $250 payment made out to Warren Jaycees are due by this Thursday for the 33rd Annual Terry F. Ristau Memorial Industrial Softball Tournament.
Payment and rosters must be submitted at P.O. Box 487, Warren, Pa. 16365, and there must be a contact e-mail for each team.
A mandatory meeting for representatives of all teams is set for 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at the Warren Elks Lodge No. 223 - at which time drawings for separate men's open, men's industrial and co-ed open and co-ed industrial brackets will take place.
Rosters and money will not be accepted at Monday's meeting.

Golf results
Just 11 days after capturing the Women's Steeplechase Championship at Conewango Valley Country Club, Hallie Dubia won the 2012 Women's Club Championship at Conewango Valley Country Club in a match play format.
Dubia defeated Sonia Probst in the finals 3 and 2. On her way to the final match, Dubia defeated Mary Conarro. Probst earned her spot in the finals by defeating defending club champion, Marlene Sandberg.
This is Dubia's fourth Club Championship at Conewango Valley Country Club.

Pete Hofert had the nine-hole los gross of 36, and Henry Beitsinger low net with 32, on Tuesday in the Youngsville Senior Golf League. Jim Fehlman, Dave Dibble and Dale Martin each shot 41 gross scores, and Ray Adams, Dibble, Fehlman, Hofert, Paul McCluskey and Gary Wood had birdies on the round.
