AOC on the move
On Thursday, Aug. 30, the AOC will ride bikes from Frewsburg to Hartson Road and back. Participants will meet at the TOPS Market in Frewsburg at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call Pat Spicer at 757-8331 from 9 to 11 p.m.
On Friday, Aug. 31, the AOC will ride bikes half-way around Chautauqua Lake. Participants will meet at 9:00 a.m. for breakfast at the Chatterbox Restaurant on Rt. 430 in Greenhurst, N.Y. They will then ride around the west end of the lake: first to Bemus Point then Mayville then Chautauqua. They will then ride to Stow, where they will catch the Stow Ferry, which will take them across the lake to Bemus Point where they will continue riding back to Greenhurst. Class to picnic
Warren High School Class of 1953 will hold its annual picnic on Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Marine Corps League, 2355 Jackson Ave., Warren. A social time will begin at 3 p.m., and dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. Participants should take a dish to share and beverage. Hot dogs, condiments, snacks and table service will be provided. Warren High School Class of 1951 will have a men's breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at Perkins Restaurant in Warren.
Walk on the Wilder Side
All men are invited to "Take a Walk on the Wilder Side," a fund-raiser to help support the Wilder Museum of Warren County History at the museum in Irvine. The event is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, and will include a clinic on cleaning and care of firearms, demonstrations of muzzleloader firing (blanks) and viewing a new early aviation exhibit that includes a model Curtiss-Pusher bi-plane. Osram picnic planned
