Decorating contest winners
Youngsville Revitalization Decorating Contest winners were chosen on Thursday evening by judges Helga Laibacher and Cherri Watson. It was a difficult job with all those who participated with beautiful displays of lights and animated characters. First place went to the Clarence Briggs residence (pictured above) at 701 North Main Street.
Second place winner of the Revitalization Decorating Contest was the home of Patrick Darling at 214 Second Avenue. Honorable mention designations went to the homes of Richard, Thomson, Don Williams, Bob Holt, Dexter See, Rick Brewster, and Mark Lehnen. Businesses with displays to note were Agway and Sue Uhron's Beauty Shoppe.
Youngsville's new sign
Just a brief note - the new sign on Route 6, near the Masonic Lodge, is not complete. There is a log border and animal silhouettes to be added. The work is progressing well, but all projects have their hold ups. A complete introduction and credits for the sign will follow shortly.
