Wednesday, Feb. 20 will be the day to register for 2013-14 kindergarten at the Sugar Grove Elementary School. Registration times are from 8:30-10:45 a.m. or 1 2:30 p.m. Please bring to the school office the following items when you come to register: Student's Birth certificate, Immunization records, proof of residency by means of a utility bill, credit card bill, deed, mortgage, lease agreement, or driver's license. Each student being registered will have the opportunity to meet the Kindergarten teachers and also complete a vision screening.
Registration packets can be obtained at the school office or at the Warren County School District Administration offices. Schools ask that your registration packet be completed prior to arrival on registration day. Everyone should allow at least 1 hour for the registration process. EMHS Senior Night

American Cancer Society Donation
The Lady Knights have spent their season selling fan shirts to the faithful EMHS fans. They have raised $150 to donate to the American Cancer Society.
Eisenhower Knight-Time Players will present their 3rd Annual Dinner Theater on February 15th and 16th in the Eisenhower gymnasium. The show, "Family Album," by Rod Frankel, is a series of monologues, duets, and skits about modern family life, including children fighting over a remote, and a child trying to make sense of a divorce. There will also be stand-up comedy and a wonderful selection of music.
The choices for the dinner on Friday night, February 15th are Bacon Wrapped Filet or Seafood (Scallops and Shrimp) Alfredo. The dinner choices for Saturday night, February 16th, will be Bacon Wrapped Filet or Chicken Cordon Bleu. All dinners include tossed salad, dinner rolls, entre, potatoes, vegetable, dessert and beverages. Ticket prices are $15.00 and include both the dinner and all the show entertainment. The Pennsylvania Music Educators Association will be holding their District Jazz Band Festival on Saturday, February 16th at the Fort LeBoeuf High School in Waterford, Pennsylvania. Congratulations to Jimmy Palmer, a junior at Eisenhower High School who was selected to be a part of the event.
The Warren County School District will not be having classes for any employees or for students on Monday, Feb. 18.
World Day of Prayer
Friday, March 1, will be the Community World Day of Prayer Service. Our churches come together on this day and join in prayer. The theme this year is "I was a stranger and you welcomed me." This year the service will be held at the Chandlers Valley United Methodist Church beginning at 7:30 p.m. Special speakers are John & Glenna Peterson from Chandlers Valley talking about their recent mission trip to Tanzania. Special music will be provided by John Landin from the Mission Covenant Church. Other portions of the service will be provided by the Hessel Valley Lutheran Church, The First Presbyterian Church of Sugar Grove, the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, and the Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church.
The Book club of the Sugar Grove Free Library will meet on Monday, Feb. 25. The book selection for this month is "Christmas with Tucker" by Greg Kincaid. It looks like a sweetheart of a story and one that is perfect for Valentine's month. Call the Sugar Grove library to get a copy of this month's selection and get reading. The Chandlers Valley Community Center will be holding an auction on Feb. 16. The auction will be conducted by McKuhn and Hotchkiss with Don McKuhn #AA019338 and Vennie Hotchkiss #AU005078. The auction will consist of food items, spring items, produce items. Refreshments will be provided for purchase.
The Second Harvest Mobile Food Pantry distribution will be held in Sugar Grove at the Free Methodist Church on Saturday, March 2. Doors will open at 8 a.m.
The Community Lunches in the area continue to be well attended. All lunches begin at 11:30 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend one of the area Community lunches. Each month lunch is held on the first Friday at the Mission Covenant Church at the corner of Matthews Run and Jackson Run Road.
On the second Thursday of each month at the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church located at the corner of Race Street and Jamestown Street in the center of town. On the 3rd Wednesday of the month, at the Hessel Valley Lutheran Church located in Chandlers Valley. Everyone is invited to attend.
