Superior Tire/Northwest Savings Bank, made up of a number of Warren County players, closed out the Jamestown Adult Hockey League season in style Sunday night, claiming the B Division Championship with a 7-2 win over Southside Redemption at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena.
Superior/Northwest stormed out of the gate, using goals from Nate Mahaffey, Trever Wilkins, Matt Wilkins, and Ben Farnham to take a 4-0 lead after the game's opening period.

B Division Champs
Superior Tire/Northwest Savings Bank claimed the Jamestown Adult Hockey League B Division Championship with a 7-2 win over Southside Redemption Sunday night at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena. Southside Redemption scored the second period's only goal and added another early in the third to make it a 4-2 game, and had a chance to pull within one on a penalty shot that was turned away by Superior/Northwest goaltender Tim Lindsey.
Two goals from Wes Kuzminski and another from Farnham stopped the Southside rally and secured the win for Superior/Northwest, which finishes the year with an overall record of 15-5-5.
Team members from Warren County include Trever Wilkins, Matt Wilkins, Jon Zigler, Matt Engelbert, Ryan Betts, Mahaffey, Farnham, and Kuzminski.
Warren's Ricky Hasselman was a member of New York State 18-and-under championship Jamestown Lakers hockey club, which won its first state title since 2005. The Lakers defeated Fulton, 4-1, in the tournament's opening game, Geneva, 3-1, Great Neck, 4-0, in the semifinals, and Louisville, 4-1, in the finals.
The Eisenhower Mat Club will meet at 6:15 p.m. Monday in room 309 at Eisenhower High School.
