Criminal mischief. Conewango Township Police said sometime between June 30 and July 1, an unknown vehicle driving on Weiler Road went off the roadway striking mailboxes at 235, 344, 432 and 1839 Weiler Road. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Crimestoppers.
Crash. Conewango Township Police said Kevin Apthrop Jr., 20, Warren, was driving a 2005 Jeep Liberty south on Preston Road at 9:15 a.m. July 1 and lost control while negotiating a left curve, causing the vehicle to cross the roadway and strike an embankment. According to police, his vehicle came to rest on the east side of the roadway on the driver's side and facing southbound. Police said traffic citations have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer's office. PennDOT assisted on the scene with traffic control. Apthrop's vehicle was towed from the scene.
Theft. Corry-based state police said someone between June 20 and 28 someone took a 10-foot long 15-inch sluice pipe belonging to Willis M. Koren, 68, Bear Lake. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police.
Retail theft. Tidioute Borough Police said Margaret A. Froman 56, Tidioute, was charged with retail theft after she concealed $12.99 worth of merchandise in her purse and attempted to leave Polly's Market at 1:50 p.m. June 28.
