Some of the thousands who lined Pennsylvania Avenue Thursday to enjoy the 4th of July Parade were there mostly for the candy handed out from many of the units, some for the marching bands, some for the dancing and twirling, some for firetrucks or miniature race cars, and some for the floats.
No matter what their interests, each added to a crowd honoring the United States of America on its Independence Day.
During the two-hour parade, more than 60 units made the trek from Carver Street through the heart of Warren to the judging area at Gen. Joseph Warren State Park.

The weather, while including thunder, rain, heat and high humidity, was much better than the severe storm that sent participants and spectators packing early last year.
