If the massive construction project happening at Eisenhower High School couldn't scare off the participants of the Barnyard Classic, a little rain wasn't going to keep anyone home. The Annual Eisenhower 3 on 3 Basketball Barnyard Classic was held on Saturday, June 29.
Throughout the day in the rain and often downpours the teams played on the 10 outdoor courts. Numerous players remarked that playing in the cool rain was actually better than playing in extreme heat. All proceeds from the event benefit the Eisenhower Lady Knights Basketball Team.
Nothing stops the Barnyard
A group of “wet” Knights girls basketball players look on as the 10 courts are filled with players from across Warren County. The construction and the heavy rain throughout the day didn’t stop the 3 on 3 Basketball tournament last weekend at Eisenhower High School

This choice will challenge you to think about about American excesses. For example the author ,originally from Iowa, returns from living in England for a period of years and goes for cereal at the grocery store. In England when shopping for cereal there was only one choice, but as you know things in America are slightly different. Grab a copy and get reading so you can join in the fun Book Club discussion. It will be held this month on July 29.
