JAMESTOWN, N.Y. - The Jamestown Jammers suffered a lopsided defeat against the Brooklyn Cyclones, 8-1, Friday night at Russell Diethrick Park. The Jammers fell to 28-16 on the year after dropping the first of a three-game series against the Mets affiliate.
Jamestown starter Chad Kuhl was roughed up, allowing seven runs - six of which were earned - on nine hits through three and one thirds innings.
Edwin Espinal drove in Harold Ramirez in the bottom of the second for the Jammers' only run of the night.
The two teams meet in the second game of the series Saturday night at Russell Diethrick Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
