Shelly Ristau, health and disabilities coordinator for Head Start of the Warren Forest EOC, presented an informative program to the Warren Lions Club at their monthly dinner meeting Tuesday at the Warren Holiday Inn.
The presentation outlined the creation of a natural playground at the EOC's McClintock Building location on Pennsylvania Avenue West, one of Head Start's locations. The playground will enhance the Head Start's existing education program by adding a nature element. The EOC will be looking for volunteers to assist in the layout and construction of the playground. Anyone interested in doing so, or in contribuiting to the purchase of additional natural playground equipment, should contact the Head Start office at 726-2400.
Also at Tuesday's meeting, Warren Lions Club past president Don Reed was presented with the Lions International President's Certificate of Appreciation for distinguished achievement in fulfilling the mission of Lions International. Kathy Morse, Lions Vice District Governor, made the presentation to Reed.
