Our center received a check for participating in the Prime Time Health program run by the state. The center offers blood sugar testing, blood pressure check, educational health programs and an exercise program running for over 10 years now.

The fall season back-to-class at the Allegheny Community Center offers a good variety of new things to learn. There's One Stroke painting taught by Sandee Geer, Brazilian embroidery taught by Deb Roberts, Tai Chi taught by Dan Otterbein, Watercolor class taught by Celia Knapp, Rubber stamping taught by Becky Eldridge and Yoga taught by Wilma Fleming. ACC is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. ACC is closed for all activities and meals on legal holidays and on those days when Warren County schools are closed unexpectedly due to bad weather. Hot lunches or light alternative lunches are available Mondays-Fridays at noon. You can call your reservation to 723-3237. Bistro lunch is available on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no reservation required. Take-outs available.
The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following menu at Allegheny Community Center and other Warren-Forest centers Sept. 3-6: pizza Tuesday; meat and cheese cold plate Wednesday; goulash Thursday; chef's buffet Friday. Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Tidioute and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sites. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations. Menu is subject to change based on availability.
