Memories of Morrison: The girl from the forgotten village

September 6, 2013
The Times Observer

Join Rose Scala at the Warren Public Library on Thursday, Sept. 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the Jefferson Room as she shares her story as a girl born to Italian immigrants in the small chemical plant village of Morrison. She will describe the life, customs and backgrounds of the people who came to Morrison for a new life. Rose would like to extend a special invitation to all the Morrisonites and their descendants. She will share photographs and stories with everyone. This program, which will end at 8 p.m., is free and open to the public. Pre-reservations, while not mandatory, are appreciated as a courtesy to Rose. Call the library at 723-4650 to register for what should prove to be a very interesting evening.
