The 2013 Sasquatch Race (approximately three miles) will be held Sunday, Oct. 27, at Chapman State Park. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. with the race set to begin at 8:30 a.m. The cost is $15 if received by October 12 and $20 after. For information, contact Jessica Arnold at 688-0393.
Tony Pellegrino Sr. shot the 18-hole low gross of 71 in Conewango Valley Country Club's Men's Day on Thursday, September 12. Jerry Bancroft had the nine-hole low net of 35. The flight-by-flight leaders were as follows:
Nicklaus Flight: Jerry Bancroft 35, Tony Pellegrino 36.
Woods Flight: Mike Barber 38, Bob Gray 40.
Snead Flight: Andy Benson 40, Randy Ordines 42.

The Warren Area High School and Eisenhower High School boys golf teams met in a nine-hole match Thursday afternoon at Cable Hollow Golf Course. Eisenhower's Tab Berkhouse posted the low score of 49, while Jack Reynolds tied with Warren's Tyler Watson and Adam Barker for second with scores of 50. The Knights will host a region megamatch at 1 p.m., Monday, at Cable Hollow Golf Course.

Jr. high hoops
The Eisenhower junior high girls basketball teams dropped a pair of games against Titusville on Thursday, 29-13 in the Blue game and 25-11 in the Gold game. Savannah McKown led the scoring for the Blue team with six points, Payton Mineweaser added five, and Haley Spicer had two.
For the Gold team, Anna McJunkin and Lydia Gianinni each had four points, Caroline Hishman had two, and Cameron Edwards finished with one.
Beaty's eighth-grade girls basketball team won again on Thursday, 32-21 over Oil City. Margo Loutzenhiser had 14 points, Rachel Wilson 12, and Lyndsey Goldthwaite, Taylor Lucks and Lily Morse had two points each in the win.
Beaty's seventh-graders won, 26-12, over Oil City. Laura Lucks had 10 points, Gracie Wood and Kadee Merenick five each, and Sierra Matson, Ceci Citro and Lily Nebinski two each for Beaty in the win.
Jr. high grid
The Beaty-Warren Middle School eighth graders suffered a close 22-14 loss at the hands of Meadville Wednesday afternoon at Meadville. After allowing Meadville to take a 16-0 lead, Beaty got on the board when Ben Thomas broke off a long run for a touchdown and Ryan Munksgard found Mitchell Bryant with a 56-yard pass for a score to cut the lead to two. The Bulldogs got the next score, and Beaty was unable to complete the comeback, falling to 0-2.
Thomas finished the day with 84 yards on the ground, and Kohl Nosel added 53 rushing for the Dragons. Nosel, Bryant, Evan Tremblay, Ryder Bennett, and Andrew Davidson gave strong defensive efforts in the loss.
