Lillian Evelyn Lunsford of Eustis, FL passed away unexpectedly on September 6, 2013.
She was born in Bergen, Norway on December 1, 1924.
In 1947, while vacationing with a relative in Tacoma, WA she met James Arthur Lunsford. They married in 1951 and made their home together in Monroeville, Pa. where they raised their two daughters.
In 1971, they relocated to Warren, Pa. where she lived for thirty years. It was in Warren she learned to play Bridge, an activity she avidly continued for the remainder of her life. She was an active member of The Woman's Club, The Warren General Hospital Auxiliary, The Philomel Club, the Antique Study Group and the Garden Club.
Lillian moved to Eustis, FL in 2001 where she quickly became involved with the Mount Dora Lawn Bowling Club. She became known for throwing a "short jack". She also was a member of the Monday Bridge Club and Hospice of Lake and Sumter Co.
She loved traveling both here and abroad. She enjoyed reading books on a wide variety of topics, and frequently enjoyed lectures and film programs offered at the W.T. Bland Library in Mt. Dora.
Lillian remained both physically and mentally active her entire life. Her interests were as varied as the many special people she befriended along the way. She is well loved by many and will be deeply missed.
Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, James in 1993. She is survived by her daughters Patricia Price of Mt. Dora, FL and Jean Haberbush of Eustis, FL.
